Pricing & Contracts
How much does a renovation or new build cost in Connecticut?
Every project is different, but typical Connecticut ranges are: kitchen remodels $60K–$180K, bathroom remodels $35K–$95K, whole-house renovations $250K–$900K+, and custom new construction $400–$650 per square foot. We give you a detailed line-item estimate — not a vague range — before any contract is signed.
Is your estimate really fixed-price?
Yes. Every scope item is priced in writing before we start. The only way the price changes is a written change order that you approve — usually because you chose a different finish or added scope. There are no surprise 'labor overrun' invoices at the end.
How do payments work?
Payments are tied to completed milestones (foundation done, framing done, drywall done, etc.), not a calendar. You never pay ahead of the work that's in the ground. We accept check, ACH, and card.
Do you offer financing?
We don't lend directly, but we work with several trusted Connecticut lenders that specialize in renovation loans, construction-to-permanent loans, and HELOCs. We're happy to introduce you.
Timeline & Process
How long will my project take?
Kitchens and baths: 8–14 weeks on site. Major additions and full renovations: 5–9 months. New construction: 10–14 months. Permits and material lead times add to that. Every contract includes a realistic schedule that we update weekly.
How often will I hear from you during the build?
You'll get a dedicated project manager, a weekly walk-through, a written weekly update, and same-day answers to questions. If something changes on site, you find out from us before you find out from the crew.
Can we live in the house during the renovation?
For most partial renovations, yes. We install dust barriers, negative-pressure containment, and daily site cleanups to keep the lived-in portion of the house safe and usable. For full renovations, we'll help you plan the transition.
Permits, Licensing & Insurance
Are you licensed and insured in Connecticut?
Yes. Stringa Enterprise Construction holds a Connecticut general contractor license and carries full general liability and workers' compensation insurance. We share certificates on request before any project begins.
Do you handle permits and inspections?
We pull every permit your town requires, coordinate directly with the building department, and manage rough and final inspections. You never have to call town hall.
Warranty & After-Care
Who is actually on my job site?
Our own project manager and lead carpenter run every job start to finish. We use vetted long-term trade partners for MEP work (electrical, plumbing, HVAC). The people you meet on day one are the people you'll see on day last.
What's your workmanship warranty?
One-year written workmanship warranty on everything we build, plus we honor all manufacturer warranties on the materials we install. Something not right in year two? Call us — we'll come look.
Can I see past projects and talk to references?
Absolutely. Our Projects page shows completed work across Connecticut. Once we're seriously discussing your project, we're happy to put you in touch with past clients with similar scope to yours.
READY TO BUILD
SOMETHING THAT LASTS?
Tell us about your project. We’ll walk the site, spec the work, and give you a real number — not a range. Consultations are always free.
