Woodbury Historic Exterior Renovation

A period Woodbury colonial brought back to life outside — siding, trim, porch carpentry, and a deep navy paint package that respects the home's age.
Stringa handled a complete exterior renovation on this historic Woodbury colonial. Scope started with a full envelope assessment: rotted clapboard and trim were cut out and replaced with matched profiles, loose sheathing was re-fastened, and failing caulk joints and flashings were rebuilt to shed water properly. The full-width front porch was restored with new decking, repaired turned columns, and rebuilt railing and skirt detail milled to match the originals. Window and door casings, corner boards, frieze, and rake trim were repaired or replaced in kind, then the entire house was scraped, primed, and finished in a deep navy body with crisp white trim and shutter accents for a high-contrast, period-correct look. Landscape beds along the front elevation were re-edged and re-mulched, and the lawn was repaired where staging and access had been set up. All work was staged to keep the home's historic character intact while bringing its weather protection up to modern standards.
