Prep is most of the job. We fill nail holes and cracks, sand patches smooth, caulk gaps at trim, and spot-prime repairs so they don't show through the finish. In older homes with plaster, we secure loose areas and use the right patching materials so cracks don't come right back.
Good interior paint covers better, washes better, and touches up better. We use quality acrylic paints and pick the sheen by room: flatter finishes hide wall flaws, while satin and semi-gloss stand up to cleaning in kitchens, baths, and on trim.
Cabinet painting is a different job from wall painting. Doors and drawers come off, everything is cleaned and degreased, sanded, primed with a bonding primer, and sprayed with a cabinet-grade enamel that cures hard. That process is what keeps paint from chipping at the handles.
Older homes often have oil-based paint on the trim. Latex won't stick to it without the right primer, so we test before painting.
